Happy Burns Day everyone! If you have ever been to our café, or an event we have catered, you will know we love incorporating haggis into our menu. In this post, we are sharing some of our favourite ways to feature haggis.
The first on our list is a great example of how traditional ingredients can be used in inventive ways! These samosas contain haggis, neeps and tatties in every bite and have been a very popular canapes choice for weddings and events. We can even add extra spices to intensify the seasoning in your favourite haggis for those that like their food with a fiery kick.
Another haggis dish that has proven very popular with our customers are our haggis bon bons They taste great served with mash as a starter or one cocktails sticks as canapes during cocktail hour. This dish is very versatile, and we have even made vegetarian and gluten free versions so guests with different dietary requirements can enjoy them too!
There aren’t many things we enjoy more than a full Scottish, and when you add a slice of haggis into the mix it makes for the perfect combination! We serve this daily in our café and even have a veggie alternative to the haggis and sausages.
Our list wouldn’t be complete without the classic haggis, neeps and tatties. Our favourite way to serve this is alongside a whisky cream sauce for a dish that combines the best of the Highlands on a plate.
